History at the Library
역사는 도서관에서
Across the continent, the author “Ferdy” is famous for sensual novels. But surprisingly, that talked-about writer is actually Vivian, a quiet woman who works as a night librarian at the Imperial Library. Each of her new releases has been a hit and has received passionate love from readers, but her fourth work is met with harsh criticism for having sexual descriptions that feel too dry compared to her previous novels. And the problem is not simply her writing skill. Because of an old contract, Vivian is bound by a sacred vow that requires her to remain a virgin, which means she has been writing without any direct experience. Though she appears elegant and calm on the outside, she has lived a life in which even her own desires had to be suppressed. Then one day, while she is working late at the library, Aiden—the emperor’s older brother and the court’s cold, ruthless prince—appears, and her ordinary life begins to change. Aiden is known as someone who is always distant and icy. But in front of Vivian, he is strangely gentle, and he begins to take an interest in her secret as well. And then he says: “That contract… I can break it for you.”
