There Was a Sea in His Basement
[지하실 단편선] 그의 지하실에는 바다가 있었다
Noah, a young writer, inherits a secluded seaside mansion from a godfather he has never even met. Searching for inspiration, he ventures into the mansion’s secret basement despite his godfather’s warning to stay away from it. There, he discovers a beautiful, silent monster—a siren being held captive. Feeling sorry for the wary creature, Noah names her Thalassa and begins caring for her every day. As time passes, the distance between them gradually disappears… “Why are you trying to leave? You can just stay by my side. Forever.” Before he realizes it, Noah’s feelings for her begin to twist into something darker. As though he has fallen under a curse.
